Air Control Techniques, P.C. has developed innovative fugitive dust capture and measurement techniques that provide accurate PM10 and PM2.5 emission factor data from a variety of fugitive dust sources.

Emission Inventory Preparation

Air Control Techniques, P.C. applies the appropriate emission factors and stack test data to estimate emissions for PM10, PM2.5, PM4 crystalline silica, organic and inorganic HAPs, metal HAPs, and greenhouse gases.  We help industrial sources respond to increasingly comprehensive emission inventory requirements.

Noteworthy Innovations in Emission Factor Testing

  • Our PM10 and PM2.5 emission factor data replaced the extremely inaccurate mineral Industry AP42 emission factors. These flawed emission factors were in use in Section 11.19.2 until our fugitive emission test data compiled as part of a joint EPA-NSSGA emission factor test program led to a complete revision of many emission factors in 1995 and later in 2004.
  • We compiled PM10 and PM2.5 fugitive emission factors published in AP42 Section 11.12.1 for Ready Mixed Concrete.
  • We are closely monitoring recently proposed changes to the EPA AERR rule concerning emission inventories.
